Rialtes CEO Ajay Tyagi emphasized on greater technology participation in affordable housing sector, as he spoke while receiving the technology innovations award at the Elets National Housing Summit.

Rialtes Technologies was awarded the Best Technology Innovations in Housing Sector award 2020 at the recently concluded Elets National Housing Summit, which was attended by eminent decision-makers from the center, state, and city-level affordable housing departments. Ajay Tyagi, CEO Rialtes had an exclusive interaction about technology innovations in the housing segment at the event.

Ajay said “Virtual reality is the future. There have been no major digital technology innovations in the real estate sector in the past two decades. The current pandemic has come as an opportunity to introspect on this and integrate technological innovations in the sector and bring about a major transformation in the housing segment.”

Major stakeholders who spoke at the platform echoed these thoughts and agreed that there is scope for digital transformation in the real estate sector. Mr. Nayan Shah, President CREDAI- MCHI too spoke about the transparency brought in by Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) which has led to ease of business and improved transparency in the housing segment. He also observed that the next step should be to include government planning authorities into digital transformation as that will bring about greater transparency and speedy completion of projects.

Mr. Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban, Affairs too emphasized on government’s vision to continue increasing transparency and efficiency in the affordable housing segment by bringing in digitization and automation. He shared two major initiatives by the Government of India (GOI)

  1. GOI and National Real Estate Development Council NAREDCO initiative of housing for all which is India’s First E-Commerce Real Estate Marketplace
  2. Scheme for affordable rental housing complexes for the urban poor to provide ease of living at affordable rents.
